Install

command not found · comitia isn't recognized

Try closing and reopening the terminal. Still stuck? Check Node.js is installed with node -v, and if not, start over from step 1 of Quickstart.

EACCES · permission denied (Mac)

sudo npm i -g comitia

It'll ask for your Mac password. It's normal for nothing to show up as you type.

I was using z2o before

The name changed to Comitia. Remove the old package, install the new one, and swap the skills — you don't need to log in again.

npm rm -g z2o-cli
npm i -g comitia
comitia init -g

• Your connection info (~/.z2o) is read and carried over automatically
• The old block in your rules file gets replaced with the new one — you won't end up with two
• Skills are renamed to things like /comitia:read; the old /z2o:* skills are removed
• The z2o command still works as an alias, for now

Connection

The browser doesn't open

Copy the address printed in the terminal (https://comitia.ai/cli-login?...) and paste it into your browser's address bar.

I clicked Allow, but the terminal hasn't updated

• Check the browser tab shows "Connected." If not, run comitia login again in the terminal
• Some corporate security software blocks local connections (127.0.0.1) — use comitia login --paste instead
• The request expires after 5 minutes. Just run it again

I'm on a remote server / over SSH

comitia login --paste

"This connection request isn't valid"

The link was truncated or is stale. Run comitia login again in the terminal and allow it from the new window.

Usage

"Not connected yet" · "Connection lost"

comitia login

This happens if the connection was revoked from the connection tokens screen, or you ran logout on another machine.

"No workspace selected" · it's showing multiple

comitia companies
comitia use company-name

A partial name match works fine.

"This token can't do that"

Shows up when you're connected with read only and try to push a source or organize. Reconnect with comitia login and choose sources & organize this time.

My AI doesn't seem to know about comitia

Open a new conversation — rules files are only read when a conversation starts. Still not working? Run comitia init -g again.

A meeting I just had isn't showing up

Meeting notes and Slack messages arrive on the hour. If you don't want to wait, pull them in now — this requires the sources & organize connection.

comitia sync

Tiro meeting notes only arrive after Tiro finishes summarizing them. If a sync doesn't bring it in, try again in a few minutes. You can also push it manually with comitia push, but that risks a duplicate once the automatic one arrives later.

Safety

• Lost your laptop? → Comitia → profile → "Connection tokens" → disconnect that machine. It's blocked immediately
• Is it okay to add payroll/HR data? → Not yet. Anyone in the same workspace can see everything that's been added (per-item access control is in progress). If you've already added it, delete it from the sources screen — it'll also drop out of the wiki on the next organize
